Hoi An City belongs to Quang Nam province. This is the most develop place in the province about many fields in which there is tourism. Hoi An City is the ideal place that connects to Da Nang City and Hue city to make a complete journey of yours in the Middle of the country.



Commune: There are 9 wards and 4 communes in Hoi An City. The wards are Minh An, Cam An, Cam Pho, Cam Chau, Son Phong, Cua Dai, Tan An, Thanh Ha and Cam Nam. The communes here are Cam Thanh, Cam Kim, Cam Ha and Tan Hiep.

Climate: Hoi An City is in the humid tropical monsoon with the feature of the south of Hai Van Mountain climate. There is the rain time in the city from September to January and the dry time is from February to August. The average temperature here is 26 C degree. There are the storms in September, October and November. It is rain so much in October and November. The best time for travelling to Hoi An City is from February to April.

Landscapes

Hoi An Ancient Town: the ancient town is in 2 km in square in Minh Anh Ward. There are the roads in the ancient town that you should walk through such as Bach Dang Road, Nguyen Thai Hoc Road, Tran Phu Road and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Road. In those roads, Tran Phu Road is the main road where many ancient houses located.
Ancient Houses: you can find many ancient houses along the roads in the ancient town area. The typical ancient houses such as The house No 48, Quan Thang House, Duc An House, in Tran Phu Road, Phung Hung Ancient House in Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Road and Tan Ky House in Nguyen Thai Hoc Road.
Chua Cau: or Japanese Bridge was built in 17th. It is located in Ancient Town. This is considered one of the typical signs for the tourism in the city.
Assembly Halls:  There are the famous assembly halls in the city such as Quang Trieu, Hai Nam, Phuc Kien, Duong Thuong in Tran Phu Road, and Trieu Chau in Nguyen Duy Hieu Road.
The Tran Family Home and Chapel: the house was built in 19th century. The house is located in Le Loi Street in Hoi An City.  
Cam Pho Communal House: this is one of the typical communal houses in Hoi An City. It was built long time ago and restored in the early time of 20th century. Cam Pho Communal House is located in Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Road in Hoi An City.
Museums in Hoi An: there are 4 museums that you may concern such as Sa Huynh Culture Museum, The Museum of Trade Ceramics in Tran Phu Road, Hoi An Museum of History and Culture in Nguyen Hue Street and Hoi An Museum of Folk Culture in Nguyen Thai Hoc Road.   
Ba Le Well: this is the ancient well that is located in Minh Anh Ward. It is near the ancient town and attached with interesting story by the time.
Tra Qua Vegetable Village: the famous vegetable village in Hoi An with many herb types. The village is located far from Hoi An Ancient Town some kilometers.
Kim Bong Carpentry Village: the woodworking village in Hoi An City that was appeared in 17th century. This traditional village is located in Cam Kim Commune. It is located far from Hoi An Ancient Town just one kilometer.
Cham Island: Cham Island is the famous ecotourism destination in Quang Nam Province. The island is far from Cua Dai Beach more than 10 kilometers. There are 8 islets in the system attached with the rich nature, wonderful beaches and destination with its historical value.  
Cua Dai Beach: this is one of the nice beaches of the Middle. The beach is 3 km long and it is located far from Hoi An Ancient Town about 5 km.

Festivals

Whale Worshiping Festival:  the festival is happened in March of lunar time each year. This is one of the biggest festivals in Hoi An City.
Nguyen Tieu Festival: the festival is organized in January of lunar time each year to celebrate the time when the first Chinese who came to Hoi An and settled here from 16th century.   
Lady Thu Bon Festival: the local festival is happened in the second month of the lunar year in Duy Tan Commune in Hoi An City.
Mid Autumn Festival: or called Trung Thu Festival or Festival for children. The festival is happened in the middle of August in lunar time in Hoi An City.  
And there are many other unique festivals in the city.

Local specialties


Hoi An City is one of the place where owns itself many local specialties in the Middle of the country. By the feature of history and culture that related to the ancient town with its cultural integration with Chinese, Japanese, etc, so Hoi An Cuisine is so rich. You can find here many typical local dishes such as mì Quảng ( Quang noodles), cao lầu, chicken rice, paper rice cakes, stir fried rice noodles, corn sweet soup etc.
