waterway. So with the tour Vietnam –
Cambodia in 10 days, you have time to explore some typical destination in the
South of Vietnam and then continue the trip to Cambodia from Chau
Doc with the impressive moments through out the journey.
Day 1: Welcome to Sai Gon
Arrive in Sai
Gon, pick up you at the airport and transfer to a hotel. You have your
time for relax after the long flight. And you visit some destinations in the
city such as The Independence Palace where you understand a little bit about
the history of Vietnam and some other places like Notre Dame Cathedral, Central
Post Office where you know more about the architecture in French
style. Then you have time to visit Ben
Thanh Market to join the bustle life of saigoneese. Overnight in Sai
Gon.
Day 2: Sai Gon – Cu Chi – Tay Ninh – Sai Gon
Have your breakfast
in the hotel and transfer to Cu Chi far from Sai Gon about 70km.
From here you explore the underground tunnel system that played very important
role in the time war in Vietnam. After that you transfer to Tay Ninh to visit Cao
Dai Temple to know about the unique architecture of this religious in
the South of the country. Drive back to Sai Gon. Time is for your leisure.
Overnight in Sai Gon.
Day 3: Sai Gon – My Tho – Can Tho
Enjoy your
breakfast in the hotel and transfer to My Tho that far from Sai Gon 100km
nearly. From here you have chance to explore the first places in the Mekong
Delta with the boat trip to the orchard gardens. Arrive in some small islets to
have great time together with the local people in the local activities. Have
some fresh fruits. Continue the trip to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho in the
afternoon, have short time to enjoy the fresh air along Ninh Kieu Wharf.
Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 4: Can Tho – Floating market – Chau Doc
In the early
morning you transfer to Ninh Kieu Wharf to take a boat trip to visit Cai
Rang floating market. This is one of the typical market in the Mekong
River that open very early with the boats are same the stores in the land. You
can find here the boat with fruits, vegetable in the bustling state of trading.
Come back to the land, have your breakfast. Continue the trip to Chau
Doc. It is far from Can Tho about 120km. Arrive in Chau Doc, it is time
for your rest. Then you have a short trip to visit Chau Doc center around. The
places typical here where you come to visit such as Sam Mountain, Ba Chua Xu Temple
that is very famous religious place for the pilgrimage tour. Overnight in Chau
Doc.
Day 5: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh
Have your breakfast
in the hotel and transfer to the wharf to take a speedboat trip to Phnom
Penh. You have chance to enjoy
the atmosphere typical of the Mekong delta along the waterway. Arrive in harbor
in Phnom Penh at noon. Pick up you and transfer to a hotel. Time is for your
individual. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 6: Visit Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh is the
capital of Cambodia which is famous with some wonderful places for your
exploration such as The Royal Palace where the home of royal family of this country
is. And the next places for you to visit like Silver Pagoda which is
considered one of the most sacred places in the country. Then you have a short
trip to visit Wat Phnom which is the most important pagoda in the capital.
The pagoda was built in 1373 and it is the center of the festivals of city like
the New Year and Pchum Benh. After that you visit the National Museum where you
know more about the art and sculpture of Khmer through the time. The rest destinations of the day are Toul
Sleng Museum, Central Market and Toul
Tompong Market to join the bustle life of the local people. Overnight
in Phnom Penh.
Day 7: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap
Have your
breakfast in the hotel and then transfer to Siem Reap. This is the
second biggest city of the country. It is far from Phnom Penh more than 300km,
and it takes you about 6 hours and more fro transfer. On the road you have some
views of activities in the normal life and the nice sites along. Arrive in Siem
Reap, time if for your relax. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 8: Visit Siem Reap
You start the trip to explore the South Gate
of Angkor
Thom with the Bayon Temple which is considered the
unique architecture with the secret smiling faces. The next places for your
visiting are Baphoun, The Terrace of the Leper King. Then
you will visit Angkor Wat which is the system of temples considered the
biggest religious relics in the world. You have chance to enjoy the romantic
sunset from Bakheng Hill where the Bakheng Temple located in. Come back
the center of Siem Reap. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 9: Explore Angkor Wat – Tonle Sap Lake
Have your
breakfast and then continue your trip to explore Angkor Wat with some typical
features such as Banteay Samre, Ta Prohm, Pre Rup, East Mebon and Ta
Keo etc. Through these places you understand more about the importance
of the old architecture of Khmer in the architecture and culture of the world.
In the afternoon, you have a boat trip to visit Tonle Sap Lake which is the
largest freshwater lake in South East Asia. Drive back to the center of Siem
Reap. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 10: Siem Reap – End the trip
Enjoy your
breakfast in the hotel and have your time for visiting around the city or go
shopping. Transfer to the airport to take a flight to return to Sai Gon or your
home. End the trip.
