belongs to Ba Ria Vung Tau Province. It is famous with its position of the very
active beach city in the South East of the country. Many tourists come to this

City.
Vung Tau City is
well known by the name of gas and oil city because the city is rich of this
value resource. Base on this, the city plays very important role in the
economic development of the South East of the country.

Landscapes
Bai Sau Beach: the beach is called Thuy Van Beach. It is
5km long in the east of the city. This is one of the best beaches in the city
with many services for tourists who experience their beach holiday.
Bai Truoc Beach: The beach is not so famous like Bai Sau
Beach but it is the value beach for viewing. There is the park in this area
with the great atmosphere by the green trees and grass. The beach is very near
the center city. It becomes the walking place for local people and tourists
also. And the area is crowded when the night falling down.
Bai Dau Beach: Bai Dau Beach is the calm beach of the city.
It is far from city center about 4 km. There are two famous architectures here.
They are the huge Virgin Mary Statue and the church with impressive structure.
Bai Dua Beach: the
beach is considered smallest beached compared with the beaches as above. It
locates in the west of Nho Mountain. Bai Dua Beach is quite beach with the
romantic view.
Thich Ca Phat Dai Pagoda: the
pagoda is located not far from city center. This is considered the biggest
pagodas in the city. The pagoda is impressive by the location and also the
architecture.
Jesus Statue:
Jesus Statue is the famous destination in Vung Tau for Christian especially. This
is the huge statue located in the top of Nho Mountain. It is 32m high. From the
arm of the statue, you can have the wonderful view of Vung Tau city.
White Palace: It
is called Villa Blanche. The building has the Roman architectural style which
was built in 19th century. It is now as a museum where displayed
value antiques.
Nui Nho: Nho
Mountain is called Tao Phung Mountain. It is 170m high from the sea level. Nho
Mountain is attached with the famous destinations of the city such as the beach
road named Ha Long Road, Jesus Statue, Light House and other places like Nghinh
Phong Mount, Bai Sau Beach, Niet Ban Tinh Xa Pagoda etc.
Nui Lon: Lon
Mountain is called Tuong Ky Mountain. The mountain is attached with the famous
beach road named Tran Phu Road. The mountain is located in the North of the
city. This is the favorite place for climbing in the weekend. There are some
famous destinations closes with Lon Mountain such as White Palace, Ho May
Resort, Thich Ca Phat Dai Pagoda. Especially, there is the cable car from the
top and down of the mountain. It brings the memorable moment for viewing of the
city by this experience.
Festivals
Nghinh Ong
Festival: it is important festival
of local people. The festival is organized in August of lunar time of each year
in Thang Tam Temple.
Seafood Festival: this is one of the big events in Vung Tau
City. The festival is happened in April each year to gather the best chefs,
restaurants in the city. Seafood Festival in Vung Tau is also the chance for
competition of cooking interestingly.
International
Kite Festival: the wonderful
festival of the city is happened each year in April or May. This chance gathers
many people who love kiting to join actively.

many other unique festivals in the city.
Local specialties
Vung Tau City is
famous with seafood of course. You can find here the fresh seafood with cheap
price. There are many local dishes that you should try such as oyster porridge,
local pancake types, fish salad etc.
