Mekong Delta is the great countryside picture with the fields, the orchard
gardens, the rivers with the boat floating in. This picture attract people so
much, especially to whom who love the peaceful life with simple and romantic
feature. The picture becomes perfect if you enjoy it slowly. And the tour with
bicycling will bring you that completed moments.
Day 1: Welcome to
Sai Gon
Pick up you at Tan
Son Nhat Airport and transfer to hotel for check in. And then you have some
hours for visiting Sai Gon with some typical destinations such as Independence
Palace and the War Remnant Museum where you understand a little bit about the
time war in Vietnam. You also visit Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post
Office which are the typical architectures in French style in Sai Gon. Have
some minutes for explore Ben Thanh Market also where you can find a lot of
things for shopping, even some delicious dishes that you can enjoy
interestingly. Overnight in Sai Gon.
Day 2: Bike trip to My Tho
My Tho is
considered the first city of Mekong Delta. The city is far from Sai Gon about
70km. However your bike trip will start from Tan An that is the city belongs to
Long An Province. From here you have chance to have a romantic view from the
fields along the road. The bike trip is about 35km. It is sure that you have an
amazing short bike trip through here. After cycling, you will take a boat trip
to explore Mekong River. Arrive in My Tho. Overnight in My Tho.
Day 3: Bike trip to Vinh Long
Enjoy your
breakfast in the hotel and start your bike trip from My Tho to Cai Be which is
the district located to the west of the city. On the road you have a short stop
to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda to know more about the architecture and the religious
life of the local people. Arrive in Cai Be; you take a boat trip to visit An
Binh Island to visit the orchard gardens here. Continue the trip to Vinh Long.
Overnight in Vinh Long.
Day 4: Visit Can Tho
Can Tho is
considered the capital of Mekong Delta. This is the bustle land and has its
nice landscapes that attract people so much. The road for your cycling from
Vinh Long to Can Tho is so nice with the beautiful landscapes and peaceful
state along. Arrive in Can Tho; you have time for your leisure. Overnight in
Can Tho.
Day 5: Cai Rang Floating Market – Can Tho – Sai Gon
Welcome the pure
morning time. In the early morning, you will transfer to Ninh Kieu Wharf to
take a boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market. This is considered on the
typical floating market in Mekong Delta. From here you will find a lot of boats
that considered moving stores where displayed the fruits, the vegetable etc.
The market is the bustle place in the morning. It is the time when you find out
the trading activities of local people in the market busily like any market in
the land. After visiting floating market, you come back to Sai Gon. End the
trip.
