For a long time, Mekong Delta is
always the interesting place for tourists who come to explore. The place with
the provinces, the cities, the towns that are attract people by the simple
local life and their kindness. Beside, the land is so rich with the rivers, the
canals, the orchards where bring the tourists the great moments in the peaceful
countryside. Of course these things exactly make the people who are captivated
strongly.
Day 1: Sai Gon – Dong Thap – Long Xuyen
Pick up you at your hotel and
transfer to Dong Thap province that is far from Ho Chi Minh City more than
150km. This is the place is famous with the landscape named Xeo Quyt. This was
one of the foundations in the war time in Vietnam and now it becomes the
meaningful destination for people who love to understand about the stories in
the time war. And you visit the museum where are showed many antiques of the Oc
Eo Sa Huynh Culture. Continue the trip; you transfer to Long Xuyen which is the
city of An Giang Province. Arrive in Long Xuyen in the late afternoon. Time for
your leisure. Overnight in Long Xuyen.
Day 2: Long Xuyen – Chau Doc – Ha Tien
Have your breakfast in the hotel
and then transfer to Chau Doc. This is also the town belongs to An Giang
province. It is far from Long Xuyen more than 100km. From here, you visit Ba
chua Xu Temple that is the most important destination for all tours in Chau
Doc. Continuously, the trip leads you to Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb where you have
chance to know about the stories that how contributed Thoai Ngoc Hau to the
land of An Giang. You will know more about the person who how was important in
the process of building the canal to connect Chau Doc and Ha Tien. After that
you visit Tay An Co Tu that is one of the very famous pagodas in this place. In
the afternoon, you transfer to Ha Tien. Ha Tien is the town of Kien Giang province;
it is far from Chau Doc more than 100m too. Arrive in Ha Tien, you have the fee
time for relaxing. Overnight in Ha Tien.
Day 3: Ha Tien – Can Tho
Enjoy your breakfast in the hotel
and then visit Mac Cuu Tomb. This is the large area with the tombs of Mac Cuu
Family. For Ha Tien, Mac Cuu is considered the great person for all the time
because he was one of the first founders this land. He was the person who
created and contributed the land in the beginning days in 18th
Century to the time when it become the develop town in Mekong Delta. After that
you visit Phu Dung Pagoda and Thach Dong. They both are the nice sights of the town. End
the visiting time, you transfer to Can Tho that is far from Ha Tien about
200km. Arrive in Can Tho, you have free time for leisure. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 4: Can Tho – Vinh Long – Cai Be – Sai Gon
In the early morning, you
transfer to Ninh Kieu Wharf and have a boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating
market to know more about the commercial life of the local habitants. And
transfer to Vinh Long that is far from Can Tho just about 40km. From here you
have a boat trip to visit some local villages and ancient house which was built
in 19th Century. And then you visit the orchard, enjoy the fresh
fruits here, also listen to local music. After that you come back to Sai Gon.
End the trip.
