To explore the South of Vietnam,
there is a trip that attracts people so much. This is the trip to Mekong
Delta. The rich land with orchard gardens, rivers, canals and the
simple life of the local people that make the trip to the countryside becomes
perfect. In this trip My Tho and Can Tho are the cities
that are the places where tourists love to come and stay for a while. One city
is so near with Ho Chi Minh City and the other city is considered the center
city of Mekong Delta, so they are seem to be represented typically to the
Mekong Delta with the typical features.
Day 1: Sai Gon – Can Tho
Pick up you at your hotel in Sai
Gon and then transfer to Can Tho. The city is one of five important city of the
country. It is far from Ho Chi Minh City about 170km and you spend 3 hours for
transfer. Arrive in Can Tho, check in your hotel and then have walking on the Ninh
Kieu wharf. Ninh Kieu wharf is considered the symbol of the city with
the fresh atmosphere by its position that is next to Hau River. Overnight in
Can Tho.
Day 2: Explore Can Tho
In the early morning, you
transfer to Ninh Kieu wharf and take a boat trip to Cai Rang floating market.
This is the typical floating market in the Mekong Delta. Visit this market; you
will know more about the trading activities of the local people here. Continue
the trip to Phong Dien floating market. It is the other crowded floating market
in Can Tho. Phong Dien floating Market differs from Cai Rang Floating Market
because the trading activities are happened all day. There are the products
such as food, fruits that are displayed, and you can find here the boat shops,
the boat tailors, the boat repairs where the work tools and equipment for the
gardens are fixed, etc. After visiting Phong Dien Floating Market, the boat
trip leads you to My Khanh Village called the tourist area where you visit the
garden, the ancient house in the old architecture of the Southerners and listen
to the local music, etc. Return to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 3: Can Tho – My Tho – Sai Gon
Have your breakfast in the hotel
and then transfer to My Tho that is far from Can Tho about 100km. It takes you
nearly 2 hours for transfer. Arrive in My Tho; you visit Dong Tam Snake Farm. From
here you will see how the snakes that are kept, know about medicinal herbs,
also the activities of the center of studying and treating the patients who are
infected by snake venom. Continue to Sai Gon. End the trip.
