To explore the North of Vietnam,
there is a trip to visit Ba Be, Cao Bang and Ban Gioc that considered the dream
of many people. These places attract people by their amazing sightseeing. There
are the fantastic waterfall, nice rice fields, wide lake and the peaceful local
life etc.
Day 1: Ha Noi
Pick up you at Noi Bai airport or
your hotel in Ha Noi and then have a short trip to explore Ha Noi with the
destinations such as Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, The Huc Bridge and The
Temple of Literature. These places are considered the typical destinations in
Ha Noi. They are located in the center and you spend not much time for
transfer. The evening is your free time. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 2: Ha Noi – Ba Be
After your breakfast, transfer
from Ha Noi to Ba Be. This is a small town in the Bac Kan province. It is far
from Ha Noi more than 230km. On the road to Ba Be, you have chance to visit
some ethnic groups as Tay, Nung. Arrive in Ba Be in the afternoon; you have a
boat trip to Ba Be Lake. This is one of the best lakes in Vietnam with its romantic
view. It is also the largest natural freshwater lake in the country. And you
have time for visiting the ethnic groups here like Cao Lan and Ao Tien.
Overnight in Ba Be.
Day 3: Ba Be – Cao Bang
Cao Bang is the province that is
located closely Bac Kan to the south. The province has its city is the same
name. From here the trip leads you to the area of historical monument called
Pac Bo. It is located in Pac Bo Village and far from the center of the city
about 55km. Pac Bo is the place that brings you to return some stories related
to the time war in Vietnam and also Uncle Ho - the leader of the country at
that time. Drive back to center of Cao Bang city. Overnight in Cao Bang.
Day 4: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc
Waterfall – Cao Bang
Enjoy your breakfast and transfer
to Ban Gioc Waterfall. This is amazing landscape of the North of the country.
Ban Gioc Waterfall is located far from Cao Bang about 85km. It is the 35m high.
There is the cave that called Nguom Ngao that is located far from the waterfall
about 3km. It is considered one of the most beautiful caves of the country. After
visiting Nguom Ngao Cave, return to Cao Bang. Overnight in Cao Bang.
Day 5: Cao Bang – Lang Son
Lang Son is the province that is
located far from Cao Bang about 55km to the north. There is the main city
called Lang Son City that borders with Chinese. The city is considered one of
the dynamic border cities of the country. From here you will visit some famous
destinations of the city such as Tam Thanh Cave and Ki Lua Market. Tam Thanh
Cave is the nice cave located in Tam Thanh ward in Lang Son. It has the
entrance with 30 stone steps and the door is 8m high. After visit Tam Thanh
Cave, you have time to come to Ki Lua Market. This is the best well known
market in Lang Son where you understand more about the local trading
activities. Overnight in Lang Son.
Day 6: Lang Son – Ha Long
After your breakfast, the trip is
continued to Ha Long. Ha Long is far from Lang Son about 250km so it takes you
about 5 hours for transfer. Arrive in Ha Long; you have a boat trip to visit Ha
Long Bay with the amazing stone islands on the sea. Overnight on boat.
Day 7: Ha Long – Cat Ba
Welcome a new day on boat. Have
your breakfast and the great time to watch the sun shine that spread out the
waves. The boat trip brings you to the memorable time on the bay that
recognized the world wonder by UNESCO. After that you transfer to small boat to
come to Cat Ba Island where you have your nice time for swimming and exploring
the local life in the island. Overnight in Cat Ba Island.
Day 8: Cat Ba – Hai Phong – Ha Noi
Enjoy the fresh morning in the
island, have you breakfast and then it is the time for trekking in National
Park. You visit Trung Trang Cave that is the biggest natural cave in Cat Ba
Island. And then it is the time for your swimming. After that you get a boat trip
to Hai Phong City. It is the important port city in the North of the country
and far from Ha Noi more than 100km. From here you will return to Ha Noi by
car. End the trip.
